In this class, students will learn about instrument families including woodwind, brass, percussion, and string. The class will be focused on creating music instruments from household items like coffee cans, tissue boxes, paper towel rolls and more! Students will learn how to construct the instruments and how to properly play them. They will also be able to decorate their instruments, displaying their creativity and individuality. Students will begin to categorize their instrument creations into their proper instrument families. After we have made an array of different instruments, the students will have an opportunity to play in our own class band!
