What a way to enjoy the summer! Participants will enjoy playing games, keeping fit, and learning the rules for kickball, tag, volleyball and other fun summer games. See the weekly schedule of games.
Students in this class primarily play games, some games they play everyday, some days they will play outside and some days they will play inside. Many times I will have a list of possible games to play and the students will chose the games they want to play.
Day 1: Students will participate in the following games or other games in teams or individual: Ball tag, freeze tag, obstacle course, wall ball.
Day 2: Students will participate in field day like activities such as one legged races, three legged races, sack race, sponge toss, standing broad jump, running race, and water balloon toss.
Day 3: Students will participate in different sports games including soccer, basketball, and baseball (wiffle ball)
Day 4: Students will participate in different contests such as hula hoop, blowing bubbles, and jump rope. Students will also draw chalk pictures on the pavement and see whose is best.
Day 5: Students will participate in wall ball, Doggy where’s your bone, red light/green light and playground ball tag.
Day 6: Students will participate in ameoba tag, baby in the air, dodge ball, head catch and ball tag
Day 7: Students will play duck, duck, goose, ball tag, soccer tag, and obstacle relay races.
Day 8: Video day with one of the following; Toy Story, Wall-e, Cars, Bugs Life, Up, Aladin
Day 9: Students will participate in different variations of tag, basketball and soccer games
Day 10: Students will participate in obstacles and relay races and playground activities.
